Gino Sarfatti floor lamp model 1025 Arteluce

Floor lamp model 1025 designed by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce. An iconic piece of Italian design from the 1940s, with lines that are both elegant and highly technical. The structure is made of brass, with a long stem covered in black leather. The leather features beautiful saddle stitching, showcasing the artisanal character of the piece. The stem is paired with a superb tripod base in bronze, fine and sculptural. The upper part features the remarkable articulated mechanism characteristic of the model, allowing it to reach a maximum height of approximately 2.20m, with the top of the stem slightly tilted. Two lateral brass arms hold the light sources, enabling precise orientation and adjustment of the lighting. The floor lamp is completed by a white aluminium diffuser on which a lampshade rests; I could not determine if they are original, but it seems to me that they are. The whole piece shows a beautiful patina and slight signs of wear, consistent with its age. A rare and particularly decorative piece, ideal in a contemporary interior as well as in a collector's decor. A true testament to Gino Sarfatti's pioneering work in the history of Italian lighting. A sought-after piece by enthusiasts of Italian design and 20th-century furniture.
