Rustic sculptural armchair made from solid pine. Hand-carved by a Swedish cabinetmaker in the 1970s. Beautiful wood grains on this vintage piece, a true authentic brutalist item. The reupholstered seat cushion in boucle, Tiree 1002 (Sand) from the BUTE fabric, adds a touch of comfort to the piece. An excellent wabi-sabi decorative object for a modern interior. Perfectly suited to an Antique, Wabi Sabi, Scandinavian, or Art Deco interior style. A warm colour and patina that blend well with the Scandinavian minimalist lifestyle. Scandinavian design is characterised by a minimal and clean approach that seeks to combine functionality and beauty. It focuses on simple lines and bright spaces. Wabi-sabi thinking involves finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature. It concerns the aesthetics of things that exist, which are imperfect, ephemeral, and incomplete.
