Old Swedish painted wooden trunk chair

Beautiful antique trunk or stump chair from Sweden, early 1900s. This chair is made from the trunk or stump of a tree and then hollowed out. The chair consists of a single piece with only the round seat made in it. A beautiful clouded painting technique has been applied to the chair, which was used in Sweden at the time. In the past, the left side probably stood too close to a stove and the paint was damaged as a result. This also caused a crack that does not go through and is still sturdy.
