Kai Kristiansen chairs model 31, set of 3, Denmark 1960s

This set of 3 original teak chairs, model 31, was designed in the 1960s by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen and exemplifies Danish mid-century modernist craftsmanship.  The chair size is H:  76 / W: 50 / D: 51 cm, and the seat height is 47 cm.  The ergonomic form is complemented by a wide seat pad and sculptured backrests for enhanced comfort. The frame is made of solid teak with beautifully exposed grain. The chairs have been reupholstered with natural wool fabric in a light brick color. Thanks to the minimalist upholstery, this set will blend seamlessly into the dining room or any other interior and, by drawing attention to the exquisitely sculpted frames, still maintain its unique character. The chairs have been fully renovated. Teak wood frame has been cleaned and treated with protective oil to enhance the grain. The new natural wool fabric upholstery and new foams provide both comfort and durability. Overall, this set is in perfect condition.
