Pair of woven raw linen canvas pillowcases

Exceptional pair of pillowcases circa 1900 in tight, very cold, light and dense linen canvas sewn by hand with tiny stitches. Perfect cadence of the days - we will note, in exquisite detail, a difference in height of the same days to indicate to each person their personal pillowcase. The back of these wonderful pillowcases is made of percale, hand-mounted on the linen face, with mechanical stitching along the opening to the hand-embroidered buttonholes. Love: the contrast of percale and artisanal, raw linen, the brightness of white opposed to the gray straw color of the canvas. Reserve linen folded for 100 years with 3 translucent foxing spots which will disappear with the first wash. Useful dimensions 58cm X 58cm. External dimensions 69cm X 69cm.
