A French 18th century large polychrome faience lidded soup tureen or entrée dish with scallop-shaped edges, attributed to Rouen manufacture. This beautiful majolica centerpiece features hand-painted, nature-inspired decorations showcasing a double Cornucopia (a symbol of prosperity), blooming flowers, butterflies, and birds in a typical polychrome palette of green, blue, iron red, and mustard yellow on a white background. The piece includes two handles decorated with painted stylized insects. The dome-shaped lid is topped with a flower-shaped knob. This elegant, whimsical, and spring-themed item is perfect for enhancing table décor, pottery collections, or as a colorful centerpiece on a chest or console. The item is in very good condition considering its age and use, with only minor chipping along some edges that reveal the clay, adding character to this unique piece. Original patina is preserved, and the high-quality painted decorations suggest attribution to Rouen manufacture. Dimensions: Height 22 cm, Diameter 34 cm.
