Vintage design. A classic of elegant design by Knoll International based on a project by Bruce Hannah and Andrew Morrison from the 1970s. Here in a version with a white frame and a black cushion. A functional design based on a simple principle. A backrest and a seat cushion are mounted like visible pillows in a metal frame. The frame is made from a single piece of aluminium painted white. This materiality allows only for the continuous shape of the frame, which describes the armrests from the seat to the backrest. The contrast between the thick cushions and the thin frame is striking. The cushions overflow from the frame. The seat and back cushions are separated by a gap. The black upholstery fabric is made of a coarse hopsak. A particular detail of the upholstery consists of large round buttons that are functional and serve to assemble the upholstery while evoking a classic pillow. The base is cross-shaped. The armchair is swivel.
