In the furnace, the colored core is repeatedly dipped into molten clear glass, building layers that produce optical depth, inner luminosity and a suspended-light effect. It demands precise timing and thermal control, and is a hallmark of postwar Murano glassmaking. In really good condition: original sheen with minimal, age-appropriate signs that enhance its provenance.
