Vintage design. Armchairs with armrests D51 Fagus from the renowned manufacturer Tecta based on a creation by Walter Gropius from the 1920s. Rare version with black and white striped upholstery featuring a Bauhaus pattern. This design was created for the foyer of the Fagus factory in Alfeld. Gropius aimed to reflect the constructive and clear architecture of his modernist masterpiece created in 1911. The design shows a clearly readable construction in its shapes, joints, and connections. Minimalist elegance with high-quality craftsmanship and materials from Tecta. The frame is made of ash, painted black. The upholstery, called Bauhaus stripes, is no longer available for order. The chair is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. It has been reinforced underneath with additional screws. Design by Walter Gropius, 1922/23.
