Elegant bow-fronted chest of drawers from the Louis XV period, work from the South-West, 18th century. The undulating front opens with three rows of drawers, rounded fluted sides, a shaped apron, and cabriole legs. The top is moulded with a shaped profile. Sides with panels. Solid light walnut [to be confirmed], drawer interiors in softwood with compartments. Traditional dowelled joints, back made of old boards. Bronze lock entries with rocaille decoration, drop handles with rosettes. Condition: very good presentation condition, beautiful warm patina. Minor signs of use and old repairs visible on the top. Old traces of woodworm, inactive [to be confirmed]. Handles [original / replaced: to be specified]. A classic and warm chest of drawers that fits well in both an antique and contemporary interior.
