Ceramic vase in the shape of a brick with a strong architectural profile, designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the 1960s. The surface is decorated with horizontal bands of Etruscan-inspired patterns, including geometric shapes, crosses, and linear motifs. The characteristic Rimini Blu glaze features a rich combination of turquoise, deep cobalt blue, and blue-green tones, with darker blue shades accumulating in the relief decoration. Subtle variations in the glaze create a textured, almost mineral surface, highlighting the relief and giving the piece considerable depth and visual interest. Glazed ceramic, produced in Italy, mid-20th century. A very heavy and solid piece with substantial weight. Vintage condition with minor variations and signs of age consistent with its period. A distinctive example of Londi's work for Bitossi, suitable as a standalone decorative object or functional vase. Its compact, architectural shape and richly varied blue-green palette make it particularly well-suited for Mid-Century Modern and contemporary interiors.
