Joe Colombo Coupé 3320 R Arc Floor Lamp for Oluce, Italy, 1967 Design

An iconic Coupé 3320 R floor lamp, also known as the “Coupé ad arco,” designed by Joe Colombo for Oluce in 1967. This vintage example was produced in Italy circa the 1980s. The Coupé series represents one of the most recognizable lighting designs by influential Italian designer Joe Colombo and is distinguished by its combination of technical ingenuity, elegant geometry and futuristic Space Age aesthetics. This floor-standing version features an exceptionally long curved chrome-plated metal arm extending dramatically from a slender white lacquered metal upright. The sweeping arc supports Colombo’s characteristic rounded adjustable metal shade, allowing the light to be positioned over a seating or reading area while maintaining a visually light and elegant structure. Designed in 1967, the Coupé became an important example of postwar Italian lighting design and remains closely associated with the experimental, futuristic approach that made Joe Colombo one of the defining figures of Italian Space Age design. This example dates approximately to the 1980s and remains in good original vintage condition. Minor signs of use and age, including small marks and wear to the lacquered and metal surfaces, are consistent with its age and are documented in the photographs. The lamp uses one E27/E26 bulb and is compatible with US bulbs. A suitable plug adapter is required for use with US electrical outlets.
