Very beautiful glazed ceramic vase from the Accolay workshops in Burgundy. This piece features an elegant silhouette with a generous spherical body, topped with a long, narrow neck that flares widely towards the opening. Its harmonious proportions and elongated shape give it a beautiful decorative presence. Its remarkable glazing combines an intense turquoise, with shades of blue and green, with a deep brown punctuated by ochre and copper speckles. The effects of layering, drips, and variations in texture create a particularly spectacular decor, characteristic of the research on glazes from the Accolay workshops. The Accolay pottery emerged in Burgundy after World War II, driven by four former students of Alexandre Kostanda. Their production saw significant development in the 1950s and 1960s and is distinguished by great creative freedom, both in forms and in decorations and glazes. The Accolay workshops now hold a recognized place in the history of 20th-century French ceramics. A beautiful collectible piece, representative of the inventiveness of Accolay ceramists and particularly decorative due to the richness of its colors. Dimensions: Height: 25 cm. Diameter: 14 cm. Condition: presence of a hairline crack. Sold as is, in accordance with the photographs.
