Charles Schneider Art Nouveau wrought iron floor lamp, 1920

This solid wrought iron floor lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. The iron frame, decorated with repeated floral and foliate motifs on the base and shade, is of excellent craftsmanship and provides the whole with a stable base thanks to its weight. The glass body, blown into the frame, is ochre in color with blue and gray highlights. The lamp is operated by a foot switch. The electrical system works perfectly. The style of this lamp is strongly influenced by the French lighting manufacturer Muller Frères, and the glasswork is attributed to Charles Schneider. Classic Art Nouveau lamp.
