Guido Faleschini For Mariani, L-shaped Leather and Steel Desk, Italy 1970s

Mid-century space age L-shaped executive desk in black leather, faux velvet and aluminum. This piece is an important design by Italian designer Guido Faleschini. It was produced in the 1970s by Italian furniture maker Mariani. The desk was produced in several dimensions, and the one offered here for sale is the XL version. It features three freestanding pieces: Desk W220 X H75 X D100 cm. Low filing cabinet W130 X H48 X D45 cm. Drawer cabinet W43 X H65 X D57 cm. Three pieces can be arranged in different ways, if arranged to form an L-shape the dimensions are: Width 220 cm. Depth 173 -220 cm. Height 75 cm. Condition: Original keys are missing. Structure is very sturdy and without any defects. Black leather is in very good condition showing just a couple of small wear marks. Aluminum inserts have some thin superficial scratches of which the majority can be seen in the middle part of the desk. The colour of the faux velvet cover on the left side of the desk is partially faded. Fabric on the right side is not faded. Overall condition is very good.
