Mid-century Italian BIG Executive Office Suite by Guido Faleschini

A striking and exceptionally impressive Italian BIG executive office suite, designed by Guido Faleschini for i4 Mariani, originally designed in 1976. This substantial four-piece ensemble consists of the large BIG executive desk, two matching drawer units and a tall storage cabinet. Executed in deep black with polished chrome detailing, the suite has the bold, architectural character that defines Faleschini’s BIG office system. The imposing executive desk measures 220 cm in width and 100 cm in depth, providing a particularly generous working surface. Its substantial black top is framed by distinctive chrome detailing and supported by the characteristic architectural side panels and chrome elements. The two matching drawer units complement the desk while offering practical storage. One is a taller three-drawer unit, while the lower unit features a projecting top, allowing it to function as a useful extension or side unit to the desk. Completing the ensemble is a tall matching storage cabinet with two doors. The cabinet provides generous enclosed storage and is fitted with a lock and key. Its black finish and chrome detailing continue the visual language of the desk and drawer units. The combination of the exceptionally large proportions, deep black surfaces, polished chrome details and strong geometric forms gives this suite an impressive presence. It would work particularly well in a spacious executive office, boardroom, creative studio or sophisticated contemporary interior. The drawer units are freestanding and can be positioned independently, allowing the configuration to be adapted to the available space.
