Pierre Paulin CM 223 desk, mahogany and chrome, Thonet edition, 1950

This desk is the CM 223 model, designed by the renowned French designer Pierre Paulin in the 1950s and manufactured by Thonet. It features four square-section black aluminum legs supporting a mahogany frame. Its rectangular top provides ample workspace. Five drawers on either side offer versatile storage. Chrome handles adorn the drawers. This desk is in good vintage condition considering its age (75 years), displaying a lovely overall patina. There are some signs of wear on the top and a few small chips on the drawer fronts (see photo).
