Round antique plate by Johnson Brothers in the Blue Lotus pattern.

Round plate in English ironstone produced by the Johnson Brothers, decorated with the Lotus pattern, recognisable by its sumptuous cobalt blue floral motif on an ivory background. The design combines a myriad of small stylised flowers, almost graphic, with large shaded flowers treated in reserve, creating a particularly elegant play of depth. The whole evokes both Victorian English aesthetics and a floral influence inspired by Asia, very characteristic of Johnson Brothers' productions from the mid-20th century. The ironstone pottery, known for its robustness and whiteness, offers a beautiful shine and excellent durability over time. The slightly wavy edge adds a touch of softness and highlights the decorative nature of the piece. Marked on the reverse “Lotus – Johnson Brothers – Made in England – Ironstone”, this plate is dishwasher safe. In excellent vintage condition, with slight discreet signs of age consistent with the piece, without chips or cracks. Diameter 31 cm. It fits perfectly into a contemporary cottage décor, reimagined English country style, or a contemporary-friendly vintage table.
