Superb antique ironstone plate, "Sévigné" decoration, produced by the Hyppolyte Boulenger & Cie factory in Choisy-le-Roi, circa 1880-1890. It is decorated with the magnificent "Sévigné" motif, a refined blue monochrome decoration combining floral arabesques, neo-Renaissance motifs and stylized details, typical of the eclectic taste of the late 19th century. The decoration, both rich and delicately printed, runs along the entire rim and forms a real graphic lace on an ivory background slightly cracked by time. The stamp on the reverse confirms the authenticity of the model. Stamped HB & Cie: typical stamp of the 1880s–1890s in underglaze dark blue printed characters. Diameter: 23 cm Beautiful antique condition: visible glaze cracks, some micro scratches from use, a hairline crack visible only on the underside. Rare model, very decorative.
