Richly chiselled bronze table mirror – neo-Renaissance style, 19th century. Very decorative bronze table mirror, featuring a rich openwork design and strong relief of scrolls, volutes, and foliage. The upper part is adorned with a remarkable female mask with a radiant hairstyle, while the lower part displays a fantastic mask surrounded by foliage. The sides are animated by significant vegetal volutes, giving the whole piece a particularly dynamic composition. The bronze has a beautiful old brown patina, with naturally lighter reliefs on the protruding parts. The central mirror adopts a scalloped shape following the design of the frame. The whole reflects the neo-Renaissance / historicist taste of the second half of the 19th century, with Renaissance and Mannerist inspiration. Dimensions: H. 50 × W. 39 cm. Material: patinated bronze. Type: table mirror / freestanding mirror. Style: neo-Renaissance, historicist. Probable period: second half of the 19th century. Decor: masks, scrolls, volutes, and foliage. Condition: good overall condition, patina and signs of use consistent with age.
