Antique mirror carved oak - Henri II style

Magnificent antique mirror in richly carved solid oak in the Henri II style, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Richly composed neo-Renaissance decoration featuring leafy scrolls, acanthus leaves, volutes, and ornamental figures. The frame has a recessed bevel. The sloping inner walls are also fitted with side mirrors, offering a superb play of perspective and great visual depth. Very good overall condition for its age. The wood has a beautiful dark waxed patina, and the carvings are perfectly preserved. The mirror shows slight signs of age that give it all its period charm.
