Ceramic jug signed by Robert Picault, emblematic of the revival of French ceramics after the war. Its structured geometric decoration, composed of green checkered friezes and ochre brown solar motifs, perfectly illustrates the artist's graphic style. The silhouette is harmonious, with a pinched spout and a well-proportioned handle. Painted signature under the base, visible terracotta. A characterful object, both decorative and collectible. Note: two very slight old enamel chips on the lower edge, discreet and located underneath the piece. They reveal the terracotta in places but do not affect the solidity, use, or overall aesthetics once the jug is placed. These marks, consistent with the age of the ceramic, naturally integrate into its vintage patina (see photo).
