Sculptures by the potter and sculptor-ceramicist-performer in Prades-le-Lez (Montpellier) A humanist actively sensitive to societal issues, Loul Combres engages in a dialogue with clay and fire to testify to and denounce the absurd changes of modern times that infringe upon Human Rights. 'Hands in the clay and fists raised', the man at the dawn of his 90 years continues to create for peace and respect for peoples. Alongside a personal poetic work, as a specialist in outdoor firings of monumental pieces, Loul has 18 performances of 'Fire Art'. In terms of architecture, there are 35 sculptural works installed in public buildings in the Occitanie region of France. "They seek and find each other. On their faces. The traces of the 5 continents. They are from here or elsewhere. Born of mixed cultures. They carry a symbol of tenderness and openness between peoples. Always completely us. Hugging, attentive, sulky... Timeless. They embrace." A shock on the back of one of the two statues. 1st: Height 29cm, Width 14cm, Depth 10cm. 2nd: Height 26cm, Width 13cm, Depth 8cm.
