Beautiful handcrafted African mask in bronze, Bamoun, Cameroon. Ethnic art. Traditional lost-wax casting technique. Decorative use, suitable for wall display or to be placed on a stand, vintage production from the 1960s to 1980s. Represents a smiling bearded man with bulging eyes, crowned king with a face and two lizards among other stylised motifs. Bulging shape, hollow mouth and nostrils. Beautiful detail work, well-finished model. Bronze, brown, and gold tones, with some bluish and white oxidation. Very good condition, aged patina, quite noticeable natural oxidation, attractive antique appearance.
