Vintage bronze African mask Bamoun, Cameroon

Beautiful handcrafted African bronze mask, Bamoun, Cameroon. Ethnic art. Traditional lost-wax casting technique. Decorative purpose, suitable for wall display or to be placed on a stand, vintage production from the 1960s to 1980s. Depicts a smiling bearded man with bulging eyes, a crowned king with a face and two lizards among other stylised motifs. Bulging shape. Hollow mouth and nostrils. Nice detail work, well-finished model. In shades of bronze, brown, and gold, with some bluish and white oxidation. In very good condition, with a patina of age and natural oxidation, giving it a beautiful antique appearance.
