Pair of “Basket” chairs by Gian Franco Legler

Set of two chairs Basketball model designed in 1950 by Gian Franco Legler, an Italian-Swiss designer, produced by Pierantonio Bonacina in Italy. They feature a honey-colored rattan seat and a black metal base. The bases are covered with plastic to increase their durability, which also allows them to be used outdoors. These chairs won the GDA at the MOMA in 1953. They are in their "vintage" condition. Note: One of the two chairs has some flaws. A piece of rattan is missing from the seat (photo). One piece of rubber is missing from one of the legs (photo).
