Vintage Rattan Chair Office Chair Gian Franco Legler 1950’S

Beautiful vintage midcentury rattan chair designed by the italian-swiss designer gian franco legler, for the italian restaurant "the basket" in 1951. The chair won the 'good design award' in 1953 from the museum of modern art (moma) in new york. The chair is made of rattan and the frame is made of black metal. In a good used condition with appropriate traces of age. Crack in the frame but this does not affect the sturdiness, see last photo. Dimensions: h X w X d = 80 X 57 X 55 cm. The seat height is 44 cm.
