Pair of small flat vases in dinanderie – Art Deco period. Superb and rare pair of two small Art Deco vases in dinanderie with architectural design and remarkable surface work. These vases adopt a very structured oval flat shape with dark beveled/flat vertical sides framing the bulging faces. This rigorous geometry is typical of the sculptural explorations of the Art Deco movement of the 1920s-1930s. Metalwork & Patina: The body features remarkable hammered/pockmarked patina, oscillating between deep bronze, dark brown, and golden hues. Inlays / Niello: The surface is enhanced with delicate inlays of gilded brass/copper wire creating organic patterns (amoebas, rings, cells, and small circles). Height: 13 cm. Width: 12 cm.
