Art Deco round vase DLG Muller

This marbled glass spherical vase features blue, yellow, and orange hues, characteristic of art glass productions from the late 19th or early 20th century (Art Nouveau or Art Deco). • Shape: Spherical vase (globular) with a small narrow and flared neck. • Material and decoration: Marbled glass or glass paste / melted coloured powders (cobalt blue in the background, with speckled inclusions of yellow and orange/eggplant). • Possible attribution: This type of piece strongly resembles the creations of the Frères Muller workshops in Lunéville, or other glassmakers of the time such as Schneider or Delatte. The general height for this model often ranges from 13 to 17 cm. This one measures 16 cm at its widest point of 17 cm. The specificity of this vase is that it becomes translucent and phosphorescent in front of a light source (candle or lamp), making it an Art Deco piece. When rotated, it gives the impression of a globe. Absolutely stunning! Note a small chip and a minor scratch on the top, which are not very bothersome.
