Exceptional sculptural vase in glazed stoneware by Belgian ceramist and sculptor Annie Palisot (1932-2016). Trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, she was the assistant to the great modernist sculptor Jacques Moeschal. This influence is evident in her pursuit of geometric purity and organic sensuality. This "lens" or "whistle" model stands out with its biomorphic silhouette reminiscent of a pebble, ending in a double opening with two mouths. The glazing reflects the technical explorations of the 1970s: a speckled glaze in celadon grey-green hues fades onto a base of raw stoneware enriched with earthy brown salt effects. The authenticity is impeccable and fully traceable: the piece bears the incised handwritten signature "Palisot" under the base, as well as the original label from her workshop in Hanret (Belgium), where she established herself in 1972. A magnificent collectible work from European studio ceramics, ideal for a Brutalist, Mid-Century Modern, or minimalist contemporary interior. • Condition: Excellent vintage condition (no cracks, chips, or restorations). • Height: +/- 16 cm. • Circumference: 57 cm (diameter approx. 18 cm).
