Walnut Console Planter, Louis XVI Style – Mid-19th Century

Rare Louis XVI style carved walnut planter characterized by its removable lid revealing a zinc tub. This refined furniture has rounded corners and a projecting front part. The belt is carved with friezes with in its center an ornate frame depicting a torch and a quiver wrapped in a Louis XVI knot. The fluted legs are decorated with foliage motifs and macaroons. They are connected by an arched crosspiece, carved with garlands of flowers and topped with a large Greek urn topped with a torch. ************* Period: Mid-19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
