Small marble and gilded wood console, Louis XVI style – early 20th century

This small console in gilded wood, in the Louis XVI style, displays an elegance where the white Carrara marble top contrasts with the brightness of the gilding. The frieze is adorned with delicate motifs such as ribbons, leaves, small garlands, a torch, and a quiver. The fluted, slightly tapered legs give the whole piece a straight and balanced appearance, while a curved stretcher connects the base and highlights a flamboyant vase. The ensemble exudes an impression of controlled classicism: sharp lines, measured ornaments, and a general harmony true to the spirit of the 18th century. Period: Early 20th century. In good condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. 664V.
