Thonet parrot coat rack no.10401 in curved wood - art nouveau

Authentic tuna parrot coat rack n°10.401 (formerly n°1) with fixed crown with eight S-hooks in curved walnut and decorated with an umbrella holder. Beautiful patina American mahogany color (dark brown-black). Produced in Austria around 1914. Rare piece that has been restored including some small areas on the volutes of the umbrella holder that have been plugged, retouched and varnished locally. In a very good general state of conservation, trace of classic uses, see photos. Stamped with iron under the foot. Mast fluted and crossed base. Beautiful typical lines of m.thonet.
