It opens with a drawer at the top, a drop front that reveals compartments and small drawers, and two doors at the bottom. The front supports are treated as fluted brass columns, with turned feet; lock entries and brass inlays. The back of the marble bears a partially legible stamp from an antique furniture dealer at 12, rue des Saints-Pères in Paris, indicating its provenance.
