White Opaline Glass & Brass Heiberg Table Lamp, Denmark, Mid-19th century

This is an original Heiberg table lamp crafted in Denmark during the mid-19th century. The lamp features a twelve-sided base made of white opaline glass, complemented by brass fittings. Originally designed as an oil lamp, it was converted to an electric table lamp between 1950 and 1970. The lamp is marked underneath with '1: A Sortering, ' indicating premium selection in Danish. Dimensions: Height (including lamp holder): 42.8 cm. The brass details show patina consistent with age but can be polished if desired.
