Neoclassical lamp base with fluted column in polished solid brass – 1960s-70s

An old brass table lamp base, likely dating from the 1960s-70s. Its tall fluted column rests on a square stepped base, inspired by neoclassicism. Entirely made of brass, it features a slender silhouette and a particularly substantial construction, weighing 2.1 kg. Stamped N79 under its base. It is in very good condition, with slight signs of age consistent with its years, and no structural defects. Equipped with an E27 socket and its old European electrical installation, including a textile cord, switch, and plug. Functionality was confirmed during a test. However, as the wiring shows signs of wear, an electrical refurbishment by a qualified person is advisable before any re-use. The lampshade shown in the ambient photograph is for illustrative purposes only and is not included in the sale. Dimensions: H45 × W13 × D13 cm.
