Very beautiful serving platter in Gien earthenware, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. This tray is distinguished by its polychrome floral decoration with Japonisme inspiration, featuring large stylised flowers and sinuous branches, in a rich palette of blues, ochres, burgundies, and yellows. The elegant cut-corner shape is highlighted by wide pierced handles, characteristic of fine serving pieces from this era. Mark on the reverse: Gien France (castle). Dimensions: – Length with handles: 34 cm. – Width: 25 cm. – Thickness: 4 cm. Condition: very good antique condition, slight signs of use on the reverse (see photograph), without cracks or chips. A decorative piece of character, ideal as a serving tray, elegant catch-all, or as a wall object in a kitchen or dining room of classic or eclectic style.
