Pair of rotaflex pendant lights composed of a yellow ball-shaped piece decorated on either side with cream cylinders and its bail cover, dating from the 1960s. The material used to create this pendant light is rotaflex, an innovative plastic substance made of wound cellulose acetate threads. This material is distinguished by its translucency, its luminous shine and its very light weight. This innovative material was developed in the 1950s by the atelier de recherche plastique (arp), founded by eminent designers such as pierre guariche, joseph-andré motte and michel mortier. Adjustable height. Bayonet socket. Edition: rotaflex, circa 1960.
