Uno & Östen Kristiansson white opaline teak pedant for Luxus, Sweden, 1950s

This beautiful ufo pendant light in opaline glass with teak in great condition was designed and produced by Swedish designers and brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson. They where known for their lighting and mirror designs, and particularly active from the 1950s to the 1970s in Sweden. They were prolific designers with a clear design aesthetic that is easily recognizable as Scandinavian modern. Although there is a dearth of biographical information available on the pair, their designs are nonetheless appreciated by vintage lovers, and are highly sought-after on the vintage market today. This lamp has a diameter of 34 cm and a height including the teak of 28 cm. The current cable is 50 cm from light till ceilinghat. The light is signed at its hat. Condition: bright and no chips.
