Versace presentation plate "The Treasures of the Sea," Rosenthal

Large presentation plate from the "Treasures of the Sea" collection, designed for Versace and produced by Rosenthal, stemming from the collaboration launched by Gianni Versace in the early 1990s. The printed decoration showcases the entire baroque vocabulary of the house: a golden cartouche with scrolls, topped with a scallop shell and a mask, frames a bright turquoise background. In the center, a bowl formed by two nautiluses, supported by winged mermaids, overflows with red coral, seashells, and rows of pearls. Starfish, whelks, and conchs adorn the perimeter, on a deep blue wing bordered by a Greek frieze and a golden net. A spectacular piece, equally at home on a set table as a presentation plate or displayed on an easel or hung on the wall.
