Large artist's plate and historical piece of table art. This large presentation plate made of fine Limoges porcelain has a dual value, both artistic and gastronomic. The central motif, depicting a stylised rooster in azure blue tones, is based on the original work of the famous painter, ceramist, and renovator of modern tapestry, Jean Lurçat (signature printed beneath the decoration). This exclusive tableware, generously sized (30 cm), was specially produced by the prestigious Bernardaud manufacture for the tables of the historic gastronomic restaurant "Au Chapon Fin" run by chef Paul Blanc in Thoissey, a double Michelin-starred institution for nearly 50 years. • Authenticity details: Stamped on the back "Bernardaud Limoges France - Inalterable Decor - 'au chapon fin' Restaurant Paul Blanc THOISSEY". It also bears the technical workshop number 15 marked in blue under glaze. • Use: Ideal as an exceptional serving dish for special occasions, or displayed as a gallery piece (on an easel or mounted on the wall as graphic decoration). • Condition: Very good overall condition, brilliant porcelain, no chips or cracks, just a small scratch (see photos).
