Beautiful alabaster table lamp with hand-carved floral patterns around the edge of the shade and a zigzag pattern on the base. The overall shape is elegant, well-proportioned, with beautiful straight lines softened by a few curves or chamfered corners. A modern aesthetic with a base that, unlike many other alabaster lamps, does not reproduce the usual shape of turned wood lamp bases. It does not have a label but I have found this same floral pattern on other lamps that still had a label, so this is probably a lamp made by the alabastro herna company in spain. This lamp probably dates from the 1960s. It is in very good condition, no cracks or chips, no stains, but a few tiny chips on the edges, I think these are small original defects, marks from the tools used to carve the alabaster. I tested it, it works perfectly, the electrical system is in good condition but obviously no longer in its first youth (and it does not have a switch, but this can be added very easily if necessary). It is designed for a small screw base bulb (e14). It measures 24 cm in height, 10 cm in diameter at the lampshade, 8 cm in diameter at the foot, the electric wire is 1m long. The photos were taken on a rainy day, one with the light in the room, the actual color of the alabaster is somewhere in between and varies depending on the ambient light.
