"Set of 10 pieces of Catalan earthenware by Eusebio Costa Díaz circa 1950" Set of 10 pieces of Catalan earthenware made around 1950 by the artist Eusebio Costa Díaz, active in La Bisbal d’Empordà (Catalonia). The set consists of 8 plates and 2 cups with their saucers, three of the plates are signed, as well as both cups and their saucers. The pieces feature hand-painted decorations with marine and naturalistic motifs (fish, seahorse, birds, stylised vegetation), on a cream background, enhanced with gilding, with a uniform patina and very discreet wear to the gilded highlights, without detracting from the readability of the decorations or the harmony of the set.
