Armchair by G.T. Rackstraw, mahogany stained black, vintage from England

Elegant Regency-style (desk) chair with carved ornamentation on the backrest. The dark wood contrasts beautifully with the light beige upholstery. The solid mahogany frame has been sanded, stained black and varnished to a high gloss. The seat cushion has been reupholstered. The chair was manufactured by the English furniture maker G.T. Rackstraw, which specialised in producing high-quality furniture in the style of older eras. Unfortunately, the label was lost during restoration.
