Description
Pair of chairs resting on four wooden feet connected two by two. Wooden structure with straw seat and molded backrest. Work done in the 1940s. Charles dudouyt (1885–1946) was a french set designer and decorator. He studied at the germain pilon school of drawing and then worked as a painter illustrating publications for calmann-levy and l'assiette au beurre. After the first world war, he designed and had manufactured furniture, streetlights and other decorative objects. He moved to paris in 1933 and founded the gentilhommière which served as both a store and a workshop.
