Pair of low antique wooden armchairs (probably oak) with turned legs and rush seats, in the style of Charles Dudouyt, likely dating from the mid-20th century. Their construction is characterised by generously sized cylindrical uprights, accented with turned rings and topped with wooden balls. The backs consist of two curved horizontal rails, while the legs are connected by turned stretchers that enhance their architectural character. The seats are made of woven plant fibres, following a traditional pattern of four quarters converging towards the centre. Their natural hue contrasts with the warm brown of the wood, whose patina reveals the nuances of the grain and the marks of its history. These armchairs exemplify the mid-20th century French taste for natural materials, robust volumes, and traditional craftsmanship. Their low proportions and sculptural silhouette allow them to be used as accent chairs in a living room, near a fireplace, or in a country house, as well as decorative pieces in a contemporary interior. Overall vintage condition is good. The wood shows an old patina and signs of use consistent with their age. The rush seats exhibit some irregularities and visible strands, particularly under one of the chairs, as shown in the photographs. Sold as a pair. Dimensions: H72 X W49 X D42. Seat height: 31 cm. Weight per chair: 7.5 kilos. Delivery possible on request in the departments of Tarn, Hérault, Aveyron, and Loire-Atlantique.
