Description
Rectangular tray with sockets with applied decoration of a varnished naturalistic representation. This is the torgon temnurus (torgon of cuba) of john gould (british ornithologist and naturalist, 1804-1881) openwork edges of the plateau. French or english work. Bottom of the tray olive green color and original golden patterns. The back of the tray is brown in color. Good condition, some very slight wear and tear on the enamelled paint. Some wear, traces and gaps on the varnished engraving. Dimensions: total length: 50cm. Length of the bottom of the tray, without the edges: 44 cm. Total width: 40cm. Width of the bottom of the tray, without the edges: 34 cm. Height: approx. 3cm. Weight: 1, 490kg. Appraised by a parisian auction house.
