Charming dessert service in Bilal earthenware (Catalonia), consisting of 6 flat plates with a diameter of 22 cm, all hand-painted and signed by Costa Diaz, a Catalan artist from the 20th century. Each plate features a bird perched in a stylised vegetal decor, treated in a bright palette of greens, yellows, reds, and blues. Some areas were originally enhanced with gold filigree (feathers, branches), but these details have been partially faded over time. Signature: "Costa Diaz" on the reverse or monogram "CD" integrated into the decor. Condition: Very good structural condition (no cracks or chips), but visible wear on the gold highlights on several pieces. Dimensions: 22 cm in diameter. Period: around 1950. Origin: Bilal earthenware, Catalonia (Spain). This type of signed earthenware is rare on the market, especially in a homogeneous series. Despite the partial wear of the gilding, the charm of the painted decor remains intact. An ideal lot for lovers of Mediterranean ceramics or for decorative wall use.
