Vintage 1960s JRO Verlag globe, wood and PVC world map - 43 cm

Very large globe lamp by JRO Verlag Munich, made in Germany (written in German), crafted from PVC, paper, wood, and chrome-plated steel, circa 1960, in good condition. A large vintage piece in remarkable condition. The globe is intact, and the paper map is superb, both when unlit and lit, with vibrant colors and written in German. It has a few minor nicks and displays a beautiful patina. The wood and chrome base is in good condition, although some wear to the varnish on the wood adds to its charm. The wiring is original, as required by German plugs; an adapter for French outlets is included. The globe is 43cm high, 32cm in diameter, and 34cm deep.
