Rare - modernist wall lamp Arteluce model 205 signed Gino Sarfatti, Italy 1955

Cylindrical wall lamp model "205" with reflector in white opaline glass and black lacquered metal body, rod and fixing plate in gilded metal. Signed gino sarfatti, manufactured by arteluce. The wall lamp is not marked arteluce but bears everywhere the quality of the mark (cf. Page 479 of the book "sarfatti 1938-1973 selected works"). Perfect working order, good original condition (diffuser included), some small traces of use since its installation in 1963... (see photos). Very aesthetically aesthetic light sculpture, the wall lamp can also rotate 360 degrees. It gives a very beautiful light effect, thanks to 2 bulbs: in a vertical position, one illuminates towards the ceiling, the other downwards (via the diffuser, for a soft light). The same switch cyclically controls three lights and off: to the ceiling / down (diffuser) / up + down / off.
